Coriqo
E-signature · built, in testing · Pro and above

Who signed off, on what, and can anyone prove it later?

When an examiner asks who approved a model, the answer is usually an email thread and a PDF nobody can match to the decision. Coriqo sends the document for signature from the decision itself, and keeps the signed copy beside it, where your auditor or examiner can check it without taking our word for it. Use the signing service we run, or keep DocuSign, Adobe Acrobat Sign or whatever your bank already uses.

Where this stands

Built, and being tested. Not yet available to customers.

We are testing it before any bank relies on it, and this page will say when that changes. If you want it on your next package or remediation sign-off, tell us.

The problem

Months later, nobody can show what was signed.

The committee approves in one place. The CRO signs in another. The signed PDF lands in an inbox. When an examiner asks which version was signed, and by whom, someone spends a week rebuilding the answer from email.

How it usually goes

  • The approval and the signature live in different places
  • Nobody can show the signed file is the one that was approved
  • The only proof of who signed sits in a vendor's account
  • The next step can start before everyone has signed

With Coriqo

  • The request starts from the decision, so the two are linked from the first click
  • The signed copy is kept beside the approval and cannot be quietly replaced
  • Your admin can make a step wait until the right people have signed
  • An examiner can check it without a login to Coriqo or to the signing tool
How it works for your team

Four steps, none of them new work.

  1. Start from the decision

On a package, a model approval or a committee decision, pick who signs. Coriqo suggests the people on the record, such as the members who voted.

  2. People sign as themselves

Your staff are asked to sign from inside Coriqo, logged in as themselves. Outside signers, such as your auditor, get a link by email.

  3. Coriqo checks the result

It confirms the right people signed the right document, and shows you the result in plain words. If something is wrong, it says what and what to do next.

  4. It goes in the record

The signed copy is kept beside the approval. Hand an examiner one file and they can check it on their own.

What you get

Six questions answered before a signature counts.

They are the questions an examiner would ask, and a "completed" email from the signing tool does not answer them.

Is it the document we approved?

The signed file is matched against the one that was sent.

Did the right people sign?

Everyone expected signed, and no one else did.

Is anything missing?

A declined or expired request is recorded with the reason, and the step stays where it was.

Is it still in order?

Whoever prepared the document is not the only one who signed it.

Has anything changed since?

Any edit to the signed file after signing is caught.

Can someone else check?

Auditors and examiners can verify the proof on their own, offline.

Each answer is shown on its own. One green tick never stands in for all of them.

Where it connects

Built into the sign-offs examiners ask about.

Regulatory packagesFinal sign-off before the package goes to an examinerBuilt
RemediationThe attestation letter before an item is marked attestedBuilt
Committee decisionsMinutes, signed by the people who votedBuilt
Model approvalsThe approval memo, before a model goes liveBuilt
Validation reportsThe report, before its review is approvedBuilt
EngagementsThe client deliverable, released as the copy that was signedBuilt

For each of these, your admin chooses in Settings: off, record the signature without blocking anything, or make the step wait until the signature is in. No one from Coriqo is involved, and every change to that choice is recorded.

Built around people

The signature follows the decision.

The people on the record sign

Committee minutes are signed by the members who voted, not by whoever holds a role that day.

Dissent is never blocked

A member can always dispute how their vote was recorded, even while minutes wait for signatures. It never counts as agreement.

You release what was signed

A client deliverable is released as the exact file the signers saw.

It shows up where work happens

A request waiting for you is on your My Attention list. A signature that does not pass raises an alert.

Your e-sign tool

Keep the e-sign tool you already pay for.

Nobody has to switch tools. The same result comes back whichever service collects the signatures.

Hosted by Coriqo

No e-sign tool? Use the one we run. A bank that wants its documents kept apart can have its own instance.

Upload from anything

Sign in whatever tool you use, then upload the signed file. Coriqo does the rest.

DocuSign and Adobe Acrobat Sign

Connect your own account in Settings, and requests go out and come back without uploads.

Your own signing server

Already run Documenso? Add it in Settings.

Where you stand

Which signatures are covered today, and which are next.

Built for US banks and credit unions first. Europe is on the roadmap, not in the product.

US electronic signatures (ESIGN and UETA)Who signed, when, how they logged in, and the exact file they signed, kept in the record. Whether a given signature is binding is for your counsel.Built
Your own tool: DocuSign, Adobe Acrobat Sign, DocumensoCoriqo runs the same checks on whichever tool collected the signatures.Built
Qualified electronic signatures (QES) for the EUNeeds a qualified certificate and identity checks from an EU trust service provider. We plan to connect one when a customer needs it.Roadmap

Until QES ships, an EU bank can still sign in its own qualified tool and upload the signed file. Coriqo checks it, records it and keeps it beside the approval. It does not issue or certify a qualified signature.

Plainly

What this does and does not prove.

What it proves

  • Which document was sent, to whom, and when
  • That the signed file has not changed since
  • Who signed, and how they logged in
  • Which decision the signature belongs to

What it does not

  • That a signer was the person named. Coriqo shows how they logged in and claims no more
  • That a signature is legally binding. That is for your counsel
  • Qualified electronic signatures under eIDAS. These are on the roadmap, see above
  • Independence from Coriqo on the service we host, since we run both the signing and the record. Every proof says so. If you need an independent signer, bring your own tool
Questions

Before you ask.

Which plans include it?

Pro, Firm and Institution, once it ships. See the pricing page.

Do we have to replace DocuSign?

No. Connect your own DocuSign or Acrobat Sign account in Settings, or upload signed PDFs from any other tool. Coriqo runs the same checks either way.

Where are our documents kept?

Signed copies are stored in your Coriqo workspace and cannot be overwritten. A dedicated signing instance is available for banks that need their documents kept apart.

Can an examiner check a signature without us?

Yes. You hand over one proof file, and the free verifier checks it offline. No login to Coriqo or the signing tool.

What happens if someone declines or the request expires?

That is recorded too, with the reason. The step stays where it was, and the screen offers to send it again.
